Hello, we are attending my brother's wedding at the sandals in antigua.  The bride is getting her hair done as part of her package. My mother and I were wondering if we could also get our hair done as well. Do they do guests?  Any help would be awesome!!! We go in June!! Can't wait!

I'm sure you ladies aren't affected, but UK is struggling with this ash cloud again & flights are being cancelled.  It's a real worry for the ladies flying out of here to various destinations.

Congratulations to your brother.  I'm sure you'll have a great time in Antigua.    Are  you staying at Sandals?  If so yes, guests can have their hair done either in the spa or in the same room as the bride.  Does your brother have a wedding planner, probably either Dania or Ebony.  She will be able to advise pricing.  if not, let me know & I'll check through my paperwork for pricing for you.

Hi ladies...we have been just so busy.  My son had prom on Saturday night...I cried.  They grow up way too fast. 

 

Alex:  I sent our documentation to our WC a couple weeks ago via the fax number they gave and I also emailed them to make sure and I received an email confirmation back from a Ms. Garcia saying all things were in order and we needed to hand carry originals with us.  I would email your wedding coordinator to make sure they received everything.  Oh haha and smores are these delightful little treats where you roast a marshmallow over a fire and put it in between two graham crackers and a piece of chocolate so the warm marshmallow warms the chocolate and makes it all gooey...yum yum  .   I'm sure you have heard of it but maybe call it something different.  We love to do them in the fire pit on our back deck at home.  And your girls day will be so much fun.  A couple of my friends are taking me for a whole girls day too with spa and then dinner/drinks.  I am so looking forward to it and my best friend of 30 years is coming out for it too.  Cannot wait!!

 

As I said before I had a trash the dress moment in which I decided I hated my dress lol...

I think it is a good idea to do the romantic dinner maybe later in the trip...i never thought of that.  I need to definitely get a hold of ebony and get some more info on the flowers.  Hopefully she will respond

 

Sweetness I am so jealous that you are packing and getting ready to go...I'm so happy and excited for you I know you both will have a fabulous time.

  You are going to have so much fun!  I checked on getting my MOH's hair done and it was $70.  I think there might be an additional charge if you do it in your room.  When are you going to be there?

 

Sweetness, have a wonderful time.  We are going to be there May 31-June 11.  Will you still be there?

 

Alex, you haven't lived until you've had a s'more!  That's so scary about the volcano ash.  I would be so stressed out.  It should be totally clear by the time you go, right?

 

Viki, you're going to have a great spa day.  How fun to be able to hang out with a best friend of 30 years.  I hope my best friend and I stay together that long.  It feel like we will.  She's my MOH and this is her first Caribbean trip so I'm excited to show it to her.  I also have a friend of 20 years coming to the wedding also.  I haven't seen her in years so it should be a lot of fun.

What a busy day it’s been.  I feel like I haven’t stopped!!

 

Viki – Ah I’ll bet he looked fantastic.  They do grow up so quickly. 

I think I’ll also send Dania a copy of our documentation just to be on the safe side.  Could you imagine if you turned up there to find they didn’t have it & they wouldn’t marry you.  What a nightmare that would be.  If Dania will ever return my email, I’ll ask her for the fax no.

 

S’mores sound fantastic.  We don’t have anything like that over here – but I’ll be keeping an eye out in case I can have any in Antigua.  I definitely like the sound of those.  Unfortunately my friend has had to cancel our day out in London.  I’m gutted as was really looking forward to it, but it’ just one of those things & can’t be helped.  I still have my other Hen Night to look forward to. Your day sounds brilliant.  You’ll have so much fun  I hope you’ll be posting pictures.  When do you have that planned for?

We decided to go with the romantic dinner on our last night because we thought it would be a lovely way to end the holiday / honeymoon.   It sounds like you’re having the same communication problems with Ebony that we are with Dania.

Alex- That's about right.  Nerves and excitement.  Mostly excitement right now because of the trip.  I think the nerves will hit me closer to the actual ceremony.  I don't know why I'm nervous.  All I have to do is not trip and say "I do" whenever anyone asks me a question .  I'm very excited because Marcelo and I actually get to spend two weeks solid together.  He doesn't work where we live so I'm lucky if I see him on weekends.  I still have most of the packing to do.  I keep piling it up near my suitcase, but I need to actually start committing to what I am taking.  I have what I hope is the final fitting for my dress tonight.  Saturday is the leg and bikini waxing, etc.  I think I've talked Celo into getting a pedicure with me on Monday before we drive to Houston.  I also have to wrap up all my OOT bag stuff because my mother is bringing it with her because I don't need it until they get there.  I told her I was putting it in a dark bag and not to peek.  I sent out a huge email today with information for all of the travelers about the trip and the resort based on 7 months of research.  Still lots to do, but manageable.

 

I'm sorry about your day out in London.  That's a bummer.  Your hen night will be lots of fun though.  Post pictures!

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to tell everyone Bye .We leave tonight and Will be in Antigua by Tomorrow Afternoon. I cant wait ,so Excited!!!

My parents are there now and they said the resort is Beautiful and the food is Amazing !! Beach is Beautiful as well

I cant wait to share photos when I return =)
