Transporting Wedding Dress

I was wondering how everyone is transporting their dress to Hawaii?

My wedding dress shop told me to bring in the biggest hand luggage case you are allowed to bring on the plane, and they will pack it for us in that. They do it all the time so they know the best way to get it in without messing it up. Maybe ask yours?

I bought a garment bag that folded (search for: Wally Garment Bags) and it worked PERFECT. It held my dress, veil, TTD, and hubs's suit. And it folded so that it remained within the airlines size requirements. The airline attendants let us hang it in the first class cabin closet at full length too.

Plenty roomy enough, fit airline requirements, durable and easy to carry. I ended up selling mine to another DW bride for her upcoming wedding.

I packed mine in my suitecase.  I already arranged to have it steamed at Ellys formal wear so I didnt worry.

I packed mine in the suitcase, as well. My wedding dress had a huge train, so no matter how I transported the dress, I knew I would need to have it steam pressed professionally. We stayed at Sugar Beach Resort in Kihei and Ellys Formal Wear was just a few steps away from our condo, so it worked out perfectly.

my bridal boutique said to bring a case and they will pack it for me :-)

I just have to hang it up in its carry case when we get there
