Questions about Belize?

I am not sure if any of you are thinking about heading to Belize for your wedding but if you are please feel free to contact me with questions. We got married in San Pedro on Ambergris Caye (one of the cayes off the coast of Belize) in April and had an amazing time!

Second, my fiance and I have decided on a Belize wedding and are looking for some good wedding planners and/or great locations.  If you have any other advice/suggestions please let me know.

Congrats, Laura!! Have you picked a location in Belize for your wedding? We were married in San Pedro on Ambergris Caye (on of the cayes off the coast of Belize). We stayed at the Sunbreeze Hotel and could not have been happier with the service we received.

I was looking into the Sunbreeze Hotel and it looks very nice.  Did you have your wedding at the hotel? Can you tell me about it? I was thinking it would be nice to spend 4-5 days on the Cayes for the wedding, then then 3-4 days inland to play in the caves and such for the "honeymoon." What types of activities did you do?

Hi Laura,

We LOVED the Sunbreeze. They were amazing and we did not want to leave. We were there for about 12 days total - we got there a few days before our guests to prepare. We got married on the beach right in front of the hotel and had the reception at the Blue Water Grill. It was an amazing time. They can also help coordinate a stay for you on the mainland as well.

 

We set up two excursions for our guests - one a manatee watch/snorkeling trip and the other was on the mainland for cave tubing and visiting the Mayan Ruin Altun Ha. Everyone had a great time.
