Out of the number of invites sent, how many said yes?

Recommended Posts

wow, I can't even imagine inviting that many people!

about the close friends thing though, I have one best friend who I have known since early childhood, and when I told her about wanting a destination wedding her immediate response was "well, I don't know if I can make that..."  to which I responded You're Coming Or Else (yes, caps included, I brought out the inner bridezilla in me lol).  It helped though that I backed up my statement with a pledge to pay whatever she can't afford.  And even though i KNOW she really is tight on money and that's the only reason for her hesitation, it did still hurt a little that that was her first reaction.  sigh.

I guess that's the price we all have to pay for being destination brides.

Your numbers are exactly what I will be sending out! We will have about 220 people invited and I was expecting about 80 to say yes. (My FH thinks more like 100 but he is dillusional.) And I've already heard some of the "I won't be able to make it" stuff from close friends and I hate to admit it, but I definetely took it personally even though I know I shouldn't have. We think alike! :) Keep me posted on the final number!

We send our invitations at the beginning of this month Aug. and we already started getting RSVP back. We invited a total of 150 people and already have 45 adults and 5 children book. We will know the exact numbers by the end of September I can post back my exact numbers so you can get an idea. But we are thinking we will end up either with 60-90 guest.

Yeah we are actually doing this for some of our closest friends and family that we know money is tight with. It is just easier then having them worry or be stressed over it.

The hardest part for me is the WAITING and not knowing.  The wedding isn't util May 2011.  STDs went out in May 2010.  I get calls and people say they will be there but we do not have firm numbers.  Formal invites go out in Jan I think and I will still have to wait gor RSVP.  All I want to do is know so I can get everything done with.

We invited a total of 50 something people.  I anticipate maybe 25.  I am perfectly okay with that.  We wanted less people and that is why we decided on a destination wedding.  I don't care if only 10 show up...I just want to have the OOT bags done already!
