This all happened right before the long weekend here so I have to wait until Tues to talk with the Bridal shop I bought the dress.  I'm going to be asking for a full refund because they couldn't deliver the dress - yes it was the factory that closed and I can't blame the bridal shop BUT my "contract" was with the bridal shop, not the factory.  If they can't give me the dress then I feel I am entitled to a full refund.  I only hope I can get the owner to agree with me.

I will let you know how it goes though.

Good luck! Be polite, but firm and we're all hoping it works out for you. So thrilled to hear you found another dress which is even better. Things always happen for a reason...

Go nuts, if you aren't a crazy person like me, cry your way out of it. Do what you have to, but you deserve to be treated better than that from somewhere you gave so much money to. Oh, and if you still love your original dress, SHE should be the one to find another manufacturer to make it for you and SHE should incur the rush costs.

Sorry, but I'm not one to stand for anything less than the premier in customer service. I'm not a snob per se but this is a bridal salon and your wedding dress, not just some restaurant that messed up your order or something. Give them hell girlie!!

ahahahaha, not only do i agree with you 100%, i'm still laughing at the way you phrased that... i can totally picture somone demanding a "free damn veil." LOL.  rofl.gif

LOL, I am quite a combo- an Italian New Yorker who happens to be a red headed gemini. I couldn't possibly have gotten any more in the "spunk" department. I, mostly likely, in the midst of my rant would start pulling random items off the wall (hair flowers, shoes, etc.) and telling her that she should be offering to throw those in too for causing me such trouble.

Glad someone appreciates my fiery nature. lol

Hey girls!  I'm happy to report that I got a full refund on my dress!  She argued with me saying it was against company policy to give refunds but I refused to back down and eventually she decided to give me a refund.   I picked up the cheque today and put the whole thing past me.

Thank you for your support and advice.  i really appreciate it.
