Morning OR Sunset Wedding????

Recommended Posts

In my situation, I don't think so because it is really one of maybe 2 things that I have formally planned. And because my wedding is on a Sunday, most people are staying 5 or 6 days as oppossed to only the weekend. Plus, most of my family is used to getting up that early for church and since my wedding is somewhat of a religious ceremony (to some people) they see it as an hounor to be up and about in one of the most beautiful of God's creation to share in one of the happiest times of my life. Lastly, it eliminates them having to calm me down from a whole day of being a bridezilla. For most people the 12 hours prior to thier wedding is full of stress but for me it will be full of sleep (for the most part anyway) so it's kind of a sure fire way to eliminate the jitters and anxiety. Because you can best believe that whatever is not done by Saturday night when I go to sleep, just won't get done. And that takes a great responsibility off my shoulders (and that of my guest and wedding partry who have to help me get ready or deal with a perfectionsit bride). It's kind of my fool-proof way of making sure no body is fighting or stressed out in the hours leading up to the wedding. Which means everybody will be fully rested, having had something to eat, and not think about anything but enjoying our nuptials as the waves crash against the shore in the background. Aaawwwwww, I can't wait!!

Wasn't sure if yu were asking me or the person who started this post but........

As far as hair and make-up, I'm not sure I understand the question....What about it? It will be done that morning and then I can just freshened it up that evening.

As far as what we are doing in between, Directly following our 10AM ceremony, we are having a mimosa reception by the pool. After mimosa's everyone will split until 7. Then we will meet for dinner and I'll have on a much more informal wedding dress and we'll do all the traditional stuff there. When I was planning a traditional ceremony at first, I had in mind to have a ceremony dress and a reception dress anyway so it doesn't change my plans much.

  • 1 month later...

We are thinking of doing the ceremony about 2 hours before sunset hoping that it will give us enough time to do bright sun pictures (although it's not going to be as bright as in the morning) and sunset pictures. We were also thinking of doing pics before the ceremony, since we are planning to get married legally in US before leaving for our Mexico wedding, but I'm still debating on that since I still want to have a "grand entrance" and surprise my fiance.
