Best Resorts in Cuba for your Destination Wedding

Cuba can be an affordable luxury destination for your Wedding. The white sand beaches are long and endless and pretty much picture perfect for your dream beach Wedding. It is however very important to understand the differences between a 4* in Cuba, compared to a 4* star in Mexico, or elsewhere in the Caribbean.

 

The food, service and overall quality of the resorts can be comprimised by deciding to have a Wedding in Cuba and going with a 4* property.  Most Bride's find that the food is very bland, sometimes even unedable at such properties. I'm sure you can all imagine what it would be like to have complaints coming from all your guests in regards to the hard beds, the bland food and the horrible service. Not something that you want to be thinking about on the most important day of your life!!

 

Here's a list of some 4* properties that are EXCELLENT with Destination Weddings, and a group of 5* properties if you're looking for only the best

 

4-4 1/2* Properties:

 

#1. Barcelo Marina Palace- The Barcelo chain has quality properties and if you've ever stayed at one then you know what to expect. Great food, friendly staff and a fun activities program. Rooms are more traditional than modern. The beach is huge at this property, and perfect for your dream beach Wedding.

#2. Blau Varadero- Although I wouldn't specifically recommend this property if you're looking for a very picturesque tropical garden reception, the beach is fairly nice and this property gets great reviews from all. The food gets especially high reviews which is always a good thing for Cuba

#3-Barcelo Solymar- This is a super fun, activities filled property. Great for groups that are active and looking for an exciting property. As mentioned above, Barcelo is a great chain that you can rely on to do a good job.

#4-Tryp Peninsula- Great property if you're looking for a resort that's family friendly. I love the little water park they have for kids. On a lovely stretch of beach and excellent food. Gets very good reviews from all.

5* Properties:

 

#1-Iberostar Laguna Azul and Iberostar Varadero- I think both of these properties go above and beyond in relation to beach, food and resort amenities. They're both very family friendly so if you have kids this would be my luxury recommendations.

#2-Paradisus Princesa Del Mar- This is my adults only favourite in Cuba. All Jr. Suites in small buildings, amazing stretch of beach, you can even get butler service (perhaps extend and do your Honeymoon here?). You also get a dive/day if your PADI certified, which is a nice touch. Reminds me of Sandals.
