My Dress

I love love love my dress, but I'm feeling a little bit of guilt about it. It's an Essence dress, and it's probably available somewhere else cheaper than what I paid in Indianapolis.

My mother and FMIL went dress shopping with me and we all immediately agreed on this dress being 'the one' - my FMIL even cried when I walked out of the room. No doubt about it.

My issue comes from the cost - my mother insisted on paying for the dress after I had picked it out. I told her that I had intended to pay for it myself, especially since she is sick. *She has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and it's terrifying* I tried finding it cheaper, but had no luck. This is the only thing I couldn't find on sale, and I'm a little disappointed in my scouting skills.

As it turns out, the dress was about 8 inches too long, even with heels, so they're going to have to shrink the design and put it on a smaller piece of fabric. I will post more pics when I get the dress and have it fitted/altered.
