Wedding Planning Entry #4- Save the Dates

Our save the date cards were also a very long term project. We started designing the magnets, logo, stencils and stickers in December. We just mailed them out on Friday! We hand cut the inner invelopes and glued a tan inlay to provide a background on which to attach the magnet. We attached the save the date magnent with double sided tape. We included a vellum insert with the wedding information. Also included was a set of 3 information cards (100lb weight) attached with a grommet (eyelet). The cards had our pictures on them and also the information about the resort, the travel agent and passports. Finally, we included some sand in the inner envelope. When people called to complain that it had spilled out all over, I have just been telling them "I wanted to get you excited about the wedding! You can already feel the sand beneath your feet! You better go book your ticket right now!" The inner envelope was sealed with a sticker of our logo and sprayed on the outside with our logo in a textured sand looking spray. The outer envelope was standard size with our logo spay painted in blue at an angle on the front.
