Decorating?

So, with the new house on it's way, I realize I must start thinking about how to decorate the place. Basically, we are going to start over in the living room & master bedroom. What a great opportunity! Ummm, yeah...where do I start? I'm browsing HGTV.com right now to see if anything inspires me. I don't even really know what my style is??

 

So, I think I'll start collecting some inspiration photos & posting them here

I look forward to seeing your photos. I was just shy of an interior design minor and I love it! Good luck with the fun of decorating. As a side note, I am new to this board and cannot read any posts - only blogs. I get an error message saying that I do not have enough points to even read threads? Is there anyway that anyone reading this could donate some to me so I can get started. I can't build any points if I can't even read the threads! Thank you!

Christa that is actually a great start.. For example find a picture (maybe one you have hanging in your house now) that you really like, and pull the colors out of it for your new room. You could really use just about anything that you love, a shirt, a pillow,, anything as an inspiration piece..

Christa the house is looking great! Please remember to reserve a cute room for me. You can decorate however you like (I trust your taste) just make sure you have lots of yummy snacks for me when I come over. Did I mention that I plan on organizing the keg stand for you, Jamy & Drea?
