Newbie - Riviera Maya (Dreams?) bride

Hi Everyone,

 

My name is Elizabeth and I just recently got engaged. We're considering a destination wedding on a budget.

 

We haven't officially set a date yet, but hoping May-June 2011 in Riviera Maya. Please feel free to recommend your resort for weddings!

 

I loved Dreams Riviera Cancun, but it was a bit pricey. I've asked our TA to price out a trip for the resort, so I'm keeping my fingers crosed.

Congratulations! I ended up going with the Cancun Palace for Feb 2011, because I absolutely loved the beach ceremony location and the all inclusive factor. Let me know if you have any questions about that resort, and I'll do my best to answer what I can. Happy planning!

Hello and welcome to the site!  May - June is a great time to get married, I'm sure you will love it.  We are getting married at the end of April (2011) at the Grand Palladium Kantenah.  The resort is tied in with a few other resorts and you get access to all of them and can have your wedding at any of the resorts.  I ended up going with GP because it's reasonably priced and a friend of mine was married there three years ago. 

Whatever you decide, I'm sure you'll find a lot of great information, I knkow I have!!  Happy planning!
