Newbie trying to choose a resort

Hi Hanna , I am myselve trying to find a resort in that area too. So far i've narrow it down to Marina El Cid and Spa, prices seems affordable and for the wedding packages too. Looks like a nice place if you have children going also. Here is the resort wedding coordinator email, her name is Eva, [email protected].

If you are a group of only adults as we are, I am also looking at the Catalonia Royal Tulum, the name of the wedding coordinator is Jacqueline and here is her email ; [email protected]. She was pretty quick to answer my questions, responded just a half hour after i've wrote to her.

One more resort I am looking is the Sandos Playacar Riviera, prices are affordable and they have a nice set up on the beach ...the only thing I don't like is they have different section of hotel...VIP etc....I am not a big fan of that...

Thanks for all the advice so far! My TA said she couldn't recommend the Catalonia Hotels and since I didn't really like the beach ceremony site (I prefer a gazebo) I have taken it off my list. I found really good prices for Gran Porto Real in Playa del Carmen and it seems like a nice resort with a very pretty gazebo. Only downside is that it is in town and not very secluded.

Has anyone been there?

Congratulations!  I ended up choosing the Cancun Palace because I absolutely love the beach and ocean there.  However, there are also alot of people on here who really love the Dreams resorts and Barcelo resorts.  You might even click on the TA banner at the top of every page to ask them a few questions.  Good luck and happy planning!

Thanks! I want to stay outside of Cancun (read cities) but have been there and the beach is pretty. I love, love Isla Mujeres too, but the resorts seem expensive on the island.
