Hey Everyone,

My name is Heidi. We just got engaged, so our tentative date is may 28, 2011. We are looking at places in the playa del carmen area. We have not decided where the wedding will take place yet, still doing our research. Does anyone have any suggestions or can share past experiences of weddings they have attended in playa del carmen. I am feeling a little overwhelmed, since I have never been to that area, and there are so many resorts. Thanks!

Congrats and welcome. I am getting married at Now Jade Riviera which is about 15minutes from playa del carmen, check it out. It's beautiful. I have been to two in the mayan, Sandos Gala Playacar (ok) and Gran Bahia Principe Tulum(very nice poolside dinner and gazebo). Happy planning!
