Inviting DW guests to AHR???

I am inviting everyone. I rented out a ballroom at a hotel, just doing horderves(platters) of food, bar and dj for only a few hours. )

i'm inviting everyone to my AHR, we are having something a little more formal because our grandparents can't make it to the DW so we are having a "blessing ceremony" in a near by park then doing a reception and dance   I didn't say anything cause my parents offered and they also offered to pay lol..

We plan on doing the same!  That way the people that were there can reminisce and those who didn't come can feel like they were there.

We've also invited everyone.  Because everyone had save the dates sent to them I'm doing all the info for the DW and the AHR in the same invite.

I am inviting everyone that was invited to the DW and those friends and family that were not invited to the AHR also. The invitations will just say something to the extent that the FI and I were just married during an intimate seaside ceremony in Aruba. We would love to celebrate our marriage with all our friends and family upon our return etc etc

Though people always say "an AHR is for the people who didn't come to the DW," I think they mean that the AHR benefits those couldn't come the most, not that it's exclusively for those people. Our AHR was the shower. We called it a "wedding" shower instead of a "bridal" shower and invited everyone (men and kids, too). We skipped the games and gift opening, and just had a backyard party at my mom's house. Since the shower doubled as our AHR, it actually took place before the wedding.

 

Now that we've had our DW, the thing that I think would be cool about an AHR after the wedding is the "reunion" aspect. Our friends and family that didn't know each other before the wedding became great friends while spending several days together at the DW. I think they would really like a chance to meet up again and rekindle the new friendships.

Yeah I think you would have to invite everyone. Everyone would get to hear all of the fun filled stories from everyone then. I'm sure everyone will have different experiences.
