TTD Makeup?

I just ordered some stuff from Sephora's make up forever line as a birthday present to myself.  We don't live close enough to have actually seen it or talk to anyone so I'm crossing my fingers it's worth the price when I can test it out!

I tried a sample of it for a wedding shower and I was shiny in every picture!  and the coverage seemed to be very light.  Was I doing it wrong or something?

Off to Sephora this weekend and maybe a MAC counter, I really dont wear make up, chapstick is a necessity and the odd mascara but I know a number of ladies swear by MAC so will put it on the list.

I am doing an underwater TTD. Has anyone tried makeup with that?

Benefit's waterproof mascara stays on FOREVER! That should stay on through a hurricane!  I like Urban Decay's waterproof eyeliners...they are extremely long lasting (just don't rub your eyes!).  I've also heard of waterproof/water resistant foundation but I have no personal experience with it.

I went to Sephora for a make up trial for my wedding.  The girl used an eyelid primer by Kat Von D and it works great.  Plus it's only $20.

I use Sephora water proof eyeliner everyday and love it. It stays in place and you don't have to worry about it running down your fce half way through the day. If you have a JCPenney near you some of the stores have a Sephora inside of them. At times they even have coupons that will give you a discount. Now they send me stuff at home to let me know when I should come in and get the discount.
