I haven't read your story yet Danyelle, but I will in just a second. My father ruined my FI engagement. Long story short, he called while I was downstairs in the hotel bar to congratulate me..and my FI hadn't responded yet..

 

I have never told him..and never will.

Very cute and it made me smile! You guys will definitely always remember that.

 

He was already holding my hand when he asked and I was so surprised that I jerked back and the ring bounced away and lodged itself in the mashed potatoes. It was even more embarrassing because he was down on one knee in the middle of a restaurant, so other people saw the whole thing.

 

At least we have a funny story to tell and we will always have vivid memories of that evening!
