Yay!  I'm getting married there just 9 days before!  I chose this place because my sister went to a wedding there and says it was the MOST fun she's ever had, both for the traveling and the wedding itself.  And she's traveled A LOT.  Here's what she said made the experience:

 

1.)  the basket by the beach for everyones shoes before the reception

2.)  the light up dance floor

3.)  the FOOD

4.)  day trip to Chichenitza

5.)  and of course, great company.

I am getting married April 22, 2011 at The Royal! It's exciting to hear of other brides getting married at the same time!  I wondering how everyone is doing their center pieces? Are you shipping things down or trying to pack them? Any advice?

the royal is very good also you can have a hoto session in 5th avenue in playa del carmen, and the cenotes are stunning you will enjoy so much

Congrats Ladies!!

I just recently got engaged and am planning on having our wedding at the Royal as well. Well actually im having the ceremony at the gazebo and then the reception at the Gran porto. Any advice?? Also im wondering if at the Gran Porto do they have a disco.. cause im thinking for after the recpetion everyone is still going to want to party a little. Does anyone know if there is a disco or have any other ideas for what to do after the recepetion??
