No Date - No Resort, But I'm Getting Married!

Hello All!

 

I'm so excited to write my first post. My name is Ashley and I'm from Georgia. I got engaged on June 5th and I'm looking forward to planning our destination wedding! We don't have a date yet but are hoping for 9/10/11. We don't know exactly where yet either but it will most likely be Mexico. We started working with a planner from DestinationWeddings.com. Has anyone else worked with them?? I'm looking for a family-friendly all-inclusive resort.

 

Any tips, suggestions or advice is VERY welcome!!

My suggestion is spend some time on TripAdvisor re resorts - I spent what seemed like days there before deciding on a resort.

Hello and welcome!! there is a thread on here about brides using destinationweddings.com. you should take a look. But I am using TA Jill from here and she's great!! There is soooooooooooo much info here just do a search on what you are looking for and you should find it.

Congrats & Welcome!! It took me 2 months to decide on a resort. That is the toughest part! You might want to search this forum about destinationweddings.com. If you just type in destinationweddings.com in the search, there is a whole thread about them.

Hi Ashley! Welcome to this great forum! I agree with Valentine Baby regarding TripAdvisor, I spent a lot of time on there looking at resorts. I started on destinationwedding.com, but I'm using TA Wendy form this forum, she is fantastic! Good luck with your major decisions and happy planning! You will love this forum!

Congrats and welcome to the forum! You're getting married on an awesome day (my birthday 9-10). My cousin is also getting married on that day. Just an FYI-I've read a lot of negative reviews on dw.com on this forum.
