Hi! I'm new to the forum and getting married at The Royal June 16, 2011. That thread about the Royal was super helpful!! Has anyone taken advantage of their Site Inspection Program? I just found out if you're having an indoor reception due to a late ceremony time (mine is at 6pm) you can increase your reception time longer - it's an additional $10 per person per hour. 3 hours goes by quickly when you're having fun! I hope this helps anyone considering an indoor reception. cheesy.gif

Dear Jennifer welcome to the forum and happy planning i think this some like the best time of the year and the resort and amazing very well located right on the hard of playa del carmen you also will find here lots of great ideas for your wedding day.

Hola!  I booked my wedding at the Royal in PDC also!  The date is July 22, 2011!!  I've been trying to keep up with the Royal thread as much as possible; it's super helpful!

CONGRATS to everyone!

 

I don't consider myself a planner, but it's starting to get fun!

do you know that the Royal is right in the city of Playa del Carmen? ... that can be a good thing because you do not have to stay on the resort and guests can go wherever they want for dinner, drinks, dancing, shopping, etc... Also that the beach there is quite busy, so if you are having your wedding and reception out on the beach, there will be a lot of 'locals' and tourists walking by... but this is not necessarily a bad thing. it just is what it is...

 

And the Royal is a beautiful resort. The weddings there look fantastic and if your ok with the above, you will love it there.. i've only heard good things.
