Just remember...it's not too late to switch TA's :) And I know there's got to be a way to handle the transfer without losing your deposit. I'd bet money on it. And I only say this because when we were originally booked to go to Beaches Negril, we booked with another TA. She was great in the beginning, but then once we made our deposits it was harder to reach her and get answers. So I talked to a couple of TA's (including TA Jennifer) and both assured me that the transfer could be made. Because we needed to switch the date and the resort, I just ended up cancelling our original booking, and then switching TA's, so I never actually had to transfer the exisiting reservation, but like I mentioned, I know it can be done.

You say you aren't happy with your current TA, so I really would look at switching now, instead of when it gets closer to your date. At least you know TA Jennifer would make sure everything is taken care of for you. JMO :)

So glad TA-Jennifer was able to clarify things. I knew some it sounded fishy.

Heather: you're right there aren't many of us around and I know Krys is on vacation and Meagan is on a well deserved trip to Vegas after working all that OT. I guess I just miss them sometimes, even though I'm not marrying at Beaches I was still able to get lots of info from them. Just feel a little lost at times that's all....sorry.

Thanks Heather. I think I will look into maybe switching over my reservation. I just don't want things to get messed up with the ceremony (date & time). I would hate to loose that time slot. Have you started looking for a dress yet?

Janine - are you using Tropical Images for your photos?

Nope, no dress shopping yet. I finally had time to go this week and it's PMS time and I get horriblly bloated and I know I'd feel gross in anything I tried on right now, lol. And I've got a little bit of time - I'm making the end of Sept my cut off for making a decision so I still have a little time. We are leaving for Boston tomorrow morning, but I'm thinking a couple weeks after I get back I'll have time to go :) What about you?

I haven't tried on any dresses in a store yet. But I have been looking to see what style I like. I want something appropriate - taking into account that this is my second wedding, It's not going to be big and fancy and I'm hardly going to have any guests there :-( Here is a link to the dress that I love.

VD9706 - by Maggie Sottero

But, I called every store that carries Maggie in NC and not one of them have this dress in stock for me to try on!! I am really considering having Gianinar Bridal make the dress and just cross my fingures that I like it. They quoted me $120 + S/H (not bad at all). Love the dress, just not sure how I would look in it.

That's what I am going to have to do. I need to make sure this style won't make my hips look bigger!!! Because you know that model wearing the dress is probably 5'9" and a size 2 LOL!!!! I am more like a 5'3 and size 6. I need to get out and try some dresses on.

Are you doing real-touch for your flowers? I am looking into that now. I saw some nice arrangements by Plumeria's (but they don't take custom orders any more) and also Angel's Accents. I love the pink/orange combo. I was considering the clay flowers like Meaghan had, but I think I'll stick with the real touch.

Yep, I am using real touch flowers and already placed my order with Angel's Accents. She is super easy to work with and has been prompt in answering all my emails/phone calls etc. Attached is similar to what I want. Still undecided on leaving the green in there, but def know that I want fuchsia and orange colors, and want to use orchids (which she is going to add), peonies, and calla lilies.
