Second Guessing - Is Beaches T&C Worth the Extra $$

I'm glad that you feel better about your decision Just keep reminding yourself that this is MORE than just a vacation...it's your wedding!! You are going to have the vacation of a lifetime and tons of beautiful pics to remember your special day. I forgot...are you using Tropical Imaging for your pics or no?

 

I wish we could find a direct flight out of Chicago as well, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen unless they add new flights between now and when we leave. I keep looking at prices every day and right now they are still high. I've even looked at flying out of Milwaukee, OH or MI (we could drive to FI's parent's in MI and then all fly down together). But the cost is the same or higher at any airports. I'll just try to be patient and wait it out.......

Hi Heather - Yes, I am using Tropical Images and I am so excited about that! We booked with Ileana and I am so confident that I will have pictures that I will be very happy with. My FI tells me the same thing you said above, "this is more than just a vacation" and I guess that alone is well worth the money. (Just wish my daughter tracked out from school in May instead of April).

 

Did you find your dress yet? I see lots of styles that I like on line, but can't seem to find them in a store to be able to try on. Are you going to do a TTD session? I am still deciding.

There are direct flights from Charlotte....but I don't know the distance between Charlotte and Raleigh. I've only been to Charlotte once.

I seriously considered taking her out of school and moving the reservation to May when the prices are lower, but I was told by the Beaches Cust Service Rep, that the $700 Gov't fees are NOT covered for weddings held in May, Sept or Oct. no matter what catagory you book. Again - totally not true! There is now a special ( think it started in July) that in those months it doesn't matter what room category you book- the goverment fees are covered. So you can book the lowest room category and have Beaches pick up that 700.00! So again, that drives the price right back up again. Besides venting, I just want to know that I am not going to be disappointed with Beaches T&C after spending this amount of money. I know a few of you have shared your amazing wedding stories and you seemed to be very happy with your choice. Would you do it all over again, and spend the extra money to have it here?

All of my Beaches Turks & caicos brides have come back gushing about how great everything was!! I truly believe that you will be thrilled!

I just visited Beaches turks and caicos with my FI and his 2 children, 9 and 11 years old. We all had the most FANTASTIC time, and they talk about going back all the time! Although it was expensive, I have to say it was amazing!!!

Hey Michelle! I would definitely see about getting your money back from your TA & finding one that can answer your questions correctly. This made all the difference in the world when I did my booking, etc...

Unfortunately there aren't a lot of T&C brides on here so sometimes it's hard to get info I know Meagan has been working insane amounts of OT and hasn't been spending much time on BDW. Not sure about the others.....
