antipasto bar vs. passing out hors d'oeuvers

Recommended Posts

I am sorry if this is in the wrong place, but I was unsure where else to put this.

After long conversations, it looks like we are not having a DW after allcrybaby2.gifcrybaby2.gif , but I have found the next best thing. It's a stunning tented venue on a lake. Anyhow, we are trying to still keep costs down.

What is the difference between an antipasto bar and passing hors d'oeuvers out? I'm stuck! Do I really need both, or am I just throwing away money. It's a later afternoon lunch with the ceremony starting around 1 or 2 pm.

You ladies are such a wealth of information, any help or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Sorry to hear about your change in plans Erin, I am sure you will have a fabulous experience either way!

For me personally, if I were a guest at a wedding I'd rather help myself to food from a bar than have passed hors d'oeurves... maybe its just previous "cocktail" events that I've been to but they never seem to be distributed evenly amongst the guests and you never get to try everything you'd like to try!
