Elopement ideas?

Over a year ago I was planning a destination wedding to Riviera Maya, but my fiance and I broke up. We are now back together, and have a baby on the way. We would really like to get married in Mexico still, but now, it will just be the two of us, more of an elopement/babymoon. We are looking for no more than a 7 night stay sometime in September. Anyone have any ideas on how to do this really cheaply? I've been looking at many of the wedding packages for resorts, and they all seem to be $700+ which is quite a bit when it will only be the two of us. It really doesn't have to be fancy. Anyone have any ideas?

I would try to find a resort where you can make your own custom wedding package so you only pay for what you need (then you dont end up paying for dinner for 20 guests, and extra flowers ect) or resorts that offer free wedding packages if you book so many nights in a certain room.

Most will offer the 700 plus package for free if you stay 7 nights. I know Dreams offers the basic $799 package for free if you book 7 nights (and I think it can be any room category), and you get champagne and cake for 10 people (just in case the parents want to come). And right now if you book through a TA like Tammy on this site, the can give you a great deal plus peace of mind. Hope this helps! Congrats on the baby/wedding!
