Who paid for your dress

My mom's covering the dress.  Originally I wasn't really sure, but she seems very excited to be part of the whole event

My mom bought me my dress. My fiancé and I are paying for the wedding. I'm her only daughter and my mom never really had a "wedding". Very grateful that she is doing that. I knew I didn't want an expensive dress since it would be in the beach so nothing too fancy. I made her laugh when I told her I needed another dress for my ttd.

I had every intention from the beginning to find an inexpensive dress, and I'm proud to say that I paid for it myself. My mom did say later that she wished I had picked something more traditonal and ballgown-y. Ha! That's why I didn't take her with me!

I paid for my own dress and my fiance and I paid for the wedding but our parents did give us checks as gifts for the wedding costs which helped with the bills quite a bit!

I am still in the planning stages but my mom is retiring this year after 35 years, and my brothers were asking what she's going to do with her retirement/pension stuff and she said one of the first things I want to be able to do is buy Annie's wedding dress.. I was like omg! I was totally planning to get it myself.. but this will be a very nice help. Mind you, I was never planning to spend more then like $1000-$1200 on the dress (and if I can find a nice one for like $500-$600 I'll go that route), and I'm not planning to go over that now. Now there has been a little bit of discussion because she likes me in a certain style of dress which is NICE but I really want to explore this other style... we'll see.. it's a 10 hour drive from our house to the nearest David's Bridal.. who have a dress on their site now that I have to try.. lol

I paid for my dress, my fiance and I are paying for all our wedding expenses...  Unfortunately, our families are not very supportive of our choice to have a destination wedding, so my mom wouldn't even tag along to come watch me try on dresses.

my parents and FI's parents are paying for the entire wedding. So I guess it would be my mom that paid for the dress.

Don't feel bad because I know the feeling. Majority of our families are the same way. The only reason my mother is coming is because I am paying for it.  Otherwise she would be at home wanting to see pictures when we got back. So far she has not given any $$$$$, but wants to invite everyone under the sun the the shower.
