Starfish Jewelry on eBay

I just ordered 2 starfish necklaces with a black cord off eBay. $0.01 each plus $4.98 shipping.

 

P24 925 Sterling Silver Starfish Necklace - (item 320137912120 end time Jul-19-07 20:50:07 PDT)

 

They arrived yesterday. OMG!!! They aren't listed this way on eBay, but they are Tiffany & Co. ... complete with the pouch, box and care card.

 

I had no idea they were going t be Tiffy & Co., so I've gone back online to order more (one for each BM) but the seller is no longer registered on eBay. However, I've found another seller who looks the same, and I've ordered another. Hopefully it will arrive soon and if it is in fact Tiffany again, I'll let you know.

 

Such affordable gifts that yourBM's will think you spent much more on!

good to know.... I purchased a necklace that came off eBay, and it arrived the same way, in a Tiffany box, with the blue pouch, and within a month is was so tarnished... So, I figured that they were knockoffs.... Not trying to spoil your excitement, Tami, and I hope you have much better luck than I did

hhhmmm... thanks for the heads up! I don't want to give it as a BM gift and have it turn out to not be the real thing. I figured it might be too good to be true. This one has the T&Co labeling on the back ... but I guess it could be a knock-off anyway...

Maybe you could wear one for a little bit, since they were so cheap, and see how they are... I hope yours turn out better than the ones I bought...

Yeah, I'll give that a try. I actually wore it last night (lol) but I'll put it to more use and see what happens...

Yeah, figures. I use eBay all the time and have never, ever had any problems. But I just compared what I received to the Tiffany starfish on the website. Not the same. Oh well, I only spent $4.99, so no big loss. Just got me all excited for nothing. Bummer... lol

Doesn't silver tarnish anyways? I thought that was why it has to be polished every once in awhile.... Just curious----

 

I always thought silver tarnished, but other people tell me it's stainless steel that tarnishes.

I think it does too, but this tarnished after about 3 times of me wearing it.... and then wouldn't polish and looked very dingy

I'm doing a 'test' on mine and wear it for a while ... and probably going to drop by the jewelers to have them check it out. I'll keep you posted!
