In the Beautiful Beginnings package with a "standard reception," it only includes the Bride and Groom and 2 guests. Any more than 2 guests, you will need to pay $15 per person for each extra guest - so you have 4 extra guests. This standard reception only include a 30 minute cocktail reception with the cake, champagne toast and cold hors d'oeuvres.

I have the Sandals Wedding Sales kit - if you want a copy, PM me your email address :)

I am starting to go into a bit of panick mode :(.  I keep flip-flopping.  This is what I know : we've finally picked a date November 22,2011 - I know I want to have it at a Sandals resort.  I have read some really bad reviews about Sandals Bahamian so I'm moving away from that Sandals location.  Problem is only other Sandals in Bahamas is Emerald Bay which is way out of my price range.  I did happen just on chance check into the Sandals resorts in Jamaica.  They are more in my price range, as well as our guests.  I just don't know which one to pick.  HELP!

Does anyone know what alternative there is for dancing besides booking a DJ?  Is there an ipod dock or can we bring something like that with us?  We are looking at Sandals Negril or Whitehouse but really can't afford to do the whole paid reception dinner thing.  If we can get the free 30 minute reception for booking 10 rooms, we might upgrade to the 1 hour but want to know what we can do about the music, dancing, etc.

I have heard so many wonderful things about Whitehouse in Jamaica.  We decided on Sandals Grande in St. Lucia, but if we weren't having it there, it would definitely be at Whitehouse.  Hope that helps!

Our Sandals has a speaker system we can rent for $100 (for IPod).  I'm sure you can bring one with you, but your TA should be able to find out for you.  Did you also know that if you get to twelve rooms, you will get one person free (equivalent in money back)?  That may help with your funds for the dinner.  Hope it works out!

I had read bad reviews on Royal Bahamian, but still booked there because our friends just got back from there & said it was amazing. Nothing but positive.

I am looking into the Bahamian resort for my wedding on August 25, 2012 and have heard great things about this resort.  I think that the website is a little confusing.  I am looking at having 10-15 guests and would like all the info re: price per guest to send out in my invitations.  Does the 1 hour reception include a meal or just hors d'oeuvres ?  Do my guests have to stay at the resort, and if they don't how much is the additional cost to have them attend the wedding and reception? How much is the additional cost for more tables and the 1 hour reception?

Josie1073- I would love a copy of the wedding kit if you don' t mind! My email is [email protected]

Ashleyn,

This website is confusing, because you'll find that Sandals is very confusing!  You need to find yourself a good TA, if you haven't already!  I have on if you need her info...

There is a new sales kit (updated 3/3/11) that I will be happy to send you, if you don't already have it.  To have a meal, you would need to purchase the two hour reception, which is $50.  The one hour includes hot and cold hors d'oeuvres.  If your guests do not stay at the resort, they will have to buy a day pass.  The day pass price changes depending on the time of your wedding.  Our passes our $150 for a full day, and that includes the $75 for the reception, but that is for St. Lucia.  Extra BB tables are $100 and seat 8 each.

Let me know if you have any other questions, or if you still need a kit.  Good luck!

Hi Ashelyn,

Assuming you are referring to the cost per guest for them to stay at Royal Bahamian, the price will depend on the number of room night selected and the room type your guests choose.  The best thing to do is to work with a qualified travel agent who will provide you with the room prices based on your requests. Destination wedding packages are personalized.  Some brides and grooms will plan one week and invite the guests for the entire time, others will present them with a package of 3 or 4 nights depending on if the bride and groom prefer some alone time after the ceremony. In most cases the guests are paying their own way so there is a fine line of what you can fairly dictate.  It's best to have your guest work directly with your travel professional to keep you out of that loop so to speak and your agent will inform you of who has confirmed.  I hope this helps.  If you need the names of some destination wedding professionals, I can help you there.
