Hello ladies!

 

I haven't seen a January 2011 thread so I figured I'd start one (if there is one, please point me in the right direction!)

 

I'm getting married on Jan 2 at Sandals Royal Caribbean in Montego Bay Jamaica. I had hoped for a New Years Day ceremony (for sentimental reasons, not necessarily for the 1/1/11 date) but they don't perform ceremonies on holidays. Luckily they do on Sundays so that's how we settled on the 2nd. We'll be transferring to Couples Negril for the honeymoon the following day.

 

Am I one of the first brides of the new year? Is anyone going to beat me down the sand aisle??

Where are all the new year brides?? Surely I can't be the only one!

 

Just 6 months and counting...how's everyones planning going? My TA took another job, not in the travel industry, so I'll be working with a new girl. But all of our guests are booked so the only thing we need to worry about now is flight changes, and we've already had 3 so far!

Anyway, I'm a Jan 2011 bride You're beating me to it, though - we're getting married on 1/10/2011 - our 3rd dating anniversary!

Destination weddings are so great because there's not much I have to do!  Well I do have to order my (real touch) flowers...I guess I better get on that pretty soon.

 

My mom is already planning my shower and it's not for another 3+ months!  And I'm hitting up every summer clothing sale I come across.  By the time we leave, I'll have enough clothes to last me a month in Jamaica.

 

I'm so excited...I looked at the clock yesterday at 3:15 and realized in exactly 5 months I'd be saying "I do"!

I'm getting married Jan 22 @ Coyaba Gardens in Ocho Rios.  I was just trying to get a holiday weekend so my guests didn't have to ask for a lot of vacation days.
