These are gorgeous pieces.  What if you requested something similar to this as aisle runner  / canopy decoration for the ceremony. And then recycled the pieces for your reception to use as the centerpieces (and add voltives surrounding it). Stunning!

You cannot take live plants/flowers into mexico...so no real rose petals. I would imagine that most resorts would not allow fake ones so that they can protect sea life. I know that the resort I am getting married at sells bags of rose petals for $20. The wedding coordinator said 2 bags are needed. So, it may be a pretty affordable option to check with the hotel and see if they offer that.

im thinking of using orchid petals for my sister's aisle... not sure about cost though... i hope not too much

I plan on DIY'ing Petal Runners for each side of our aisle 
Using Hot Pink, Orange & White Rose Petals.

The runners roll right up and can fit into my suitcase!
