Any other young brides?

I'm 22 and so is my Fiance. We got engaged at 21 but had been together since we were 15 People don't really comment on our age because we have been together so long and are quite mature for our age. You just have to know that what you are doing is right for the two of you and concentrate on that and not what people are saying about your age.

I just got married at 27...at 18, I wasn't even ready to be married even though I had a boyfriend.

Just remember, you will never get your young years back and you have plenty of time to get married. You may think you are all grown up but there is lot of time to grow up. I sure grew up last 10 years. You learn so much and you can apply to your marriage. I am not saying you shouldn't get married...just give it some time! :) You have lots of years to be with your husband.

Good luck!

Thanks for all the replies ladies! Our wedding is going to be on Honeymoon Island in Flordia, I'm not sure what the legal drinking age is there but I don't drink anyways so it's of no concern to me lol. The way we figure it is that we know that we want to get married, and life is short...why put off something that is meant to be:) Our parents are thrilled for us so I think that says something, because they world definately make it known if they didn't think it was a good idea!

That's great Rae that your parents are supportive! That and the fact that you and your FI know that you want to do this! I say go for it!! If you know, you know! I knew I was going to marry my FI within the first few months that we were dating. He was a little slower on the uptake though! LOL!

Wow! I think 18 is really young to get married. I too would never have considered marrying anyone at the age, but everyone is different. I wanted to finish college, travel and enjoy life as a “free” adult. I hope things work out for you and you don’t regret not being single as an adult. I’m sure you’ve thought about all these things and it’s really what you want. My advice is to let people know that you’ve thoroughly thought about it and you’re ready for the challenge.

Live YOUR life, have fun, and as long as you feel he is THE ONE, I say go for it and congrats!
FI and I have been together since we were 16 as well. We will be 25/26 when we get married, and will have been together for over 9 years. <3

Although I may have always thought we'd get married, I'm glad we waited, matured and decided that we were still right for one another.

18 might be young for some but I think if you know that you are ready i say go for it. My parents got married right out of high school 19 and 20 and they are still together will be married 35 years this august. I also know some people from high school that got married right out fo school (guess its been about 13 yrs now) and their still married. I think that at any age the best thing in any relationship no matter the age is make sure you are open and communicate. Yes you both will be changing and growing up but as long as you keep that line of commuincation open I think you will be fine. Good luck in your decesion.

Exactly! We have always just said, yes we will both change and grow up more, so why not do it together? We've both changed SO much in the time we've been dating... we're completely different people but that just brings us closer knowing that we've been through so much with eachother.

Thanks for all the encouragment/advice again ladies!
