How much did you or are you going to spend on your dress

I know that I can't go crazy with my spending on my dress. But at the same time I want an amazing dress. How do I get that look for less? What are your budgeting plans for your gown?

I would really like to spend less than a thousand but so far I don't like much at that price, still searching. I would maybe like to finda simple dress then personalize it with cheap finds like fabric, ribbon brooch, flowers (which ever looks best) and of course some fabulous shoes.
