Am I supposed to give a gift?

I am going to bachelorette party this month and I am wondering if I should be bringing a gift for the bride? Sorry if there is another thread about this, but I couldn't find one. Thanks

Bachelorette party gifts are usually some fun gags, not formal gifts. In my case, I was given some lingerie, some edible body lotions, sexy games, etc. I've also given similar items to all my girls at their bachelorette parties and then a more formal gift for their wedding.

i think you should talk to the hostess of the party. i don't want any presents for my bachelorette party, but some are different. it might also be a theme, ie lingerie.

I wouldn't want to be the only one to show up with or without a present.

the only gifts I've seen at bachlorette parties are usually gag gifts. just to make sure I would check with the hostess too......I have heard of combining a small shower w/ the bachlorette party

I usually never bring gifts to a bachelorette party just plenty of cash to pay for the bride to be's drinks. But my friends threw me my bachelorette last week and they all gave me lingerie gifts. They said it was because I'm not having a bridal shower. I thought it was great! Definitely ask whoever is in charge...

I think it mainly depends on what you're doing for the party. For example, I just heard of a Bride who got treated to a full day at the spa after a night at the casino, so I think that's a good enough gift for her! However, if you're just bar hopping or staying in for margaritas, I think a small gift would be nice. I've given booze, lingerie, or a personalized flask, depending on the girl.
