DIY HELP! How do you resize a digital canvas?

Hi design peeps!!

 

I need help!

 

I want to take this image and resize the canvas so that it is the same shape as the logo itself, so that when I upload it to a green mug, you can't see the white sqaure outline that the canvas currently is.

 

I want to do this before 11:59 tonight, so that I can get free shipping and 15% off!

 

Please help if you can!!!! Thanks!

No repsonses yet! I finally gave up and went to bed. So, I missed out on the 15% which sucks..... I just hope I can figure this out soon, so I can get them ordered and and sent to where they need to be by the weekend!

FYI, if you're ordering from Discountmugs.com, just send them the JPG file and they will remove the background layer for you. I sent them a file with a white background and a purple image and just let them know that the image was supposed to be white (printed on purple mugs)... it turned out exactly as I expected.
