To bustle or not to bustle?

Recommended Posts

I would get the bustle done. My dress is the same length roughly as yours and it cost me $39 for a bustle. You can leave it down for the ceremony and pics, but I would put it up after that for sure so you don't trip on it or have someone step on it.

I would say bustle only because you don't want while you are dancing someone stepping on it, or like on one episode of say yes to the dress when a BM stepped on the bride's dress and it ripped. You'll move around easier in it while its bustled and like the other ladies said it doesn't take long to do.

Your Dress is GORGEOUS!!! I would recommend having them put a bustle on it, It shouldnt cost too much and can help protect your dress later after the ceremony, plus you dont have to worry about people stepping on it or getting the train dirty :), The PLUS side is that if you do have them bustle it, you can decide at the wedding if you want it up or down :). I love my dress bustled!!! I went with a French bustle, because my dress has pick-ups, Its takes about 3 minutes to tie all 5 ribbons, and the back of the dress looks nice and shows off the pick-ups :).
