if you're looking for specificly "bridal shoes" then perhaps try along Columbia in New West at all the bridal shops there or along Hastings + Boundary are some more.

but if you're looking for "nice evening-type" shoes you can try Holt Renfrew, Where Else?, Freedman Shoes or B2. I also saw some pretty shoes at Aldo yesterday.

I love the shoes at: www.ninashoes.com  (really comfy and pretty shoes) they ship to Canada but ended up getting a pair online at DSW www.dswshoes.com and driving to Blaine to pick them up.

If you're looking online there's always good 'ol Nordstrom, Saks 5th Ave, and Neiman Marcus which have fabulous shoes.

happy shopping~~

Do you know where I could find the greatest selection of bridal shoes in the lower mainland?

Where did you buy yours?  Any ideas are welcome!

anyone find any pashminas that aren't an arm + leg? online? around town?

i managed to find a person at metrotown willing to discount depending on the amount purchased. so far he's said 2 for $15 if less than 10, or $6.75 each if 10, i asked if he's willing to go further if more were ordered but he'd like a number for consideration.

so i thought i'd see if any of you ladies would be interested in some or how many and a colour preference. i will post photos he sends me (because I was looking for pink, aqua, ivory, etc and he said he had those colours).

HST is included in the above prices.

Flowers for Sale!

After a month of contemplation, I've finally decided to part with my custom silk bouquets.  They're a mix of pinks and fuchsia peonies, roses, and phalaenopsis orchids, and made of very good quality.  The bride's bouquet is the largest, and contains 9 peonies in total (3 different kinds), multiple phalanopsis orchids, and an array of roses (open and buds) in various shades and sizes.  The 3 bridesmaids bouquets are a smaller version without the orchids.  Both have greenery and can be wrapped with or without ribbon.  (The stems are realistic so either would look nice.)   I also have a matching orchid boutonniere for the groom too.

Price:  $175 for the all of the above, or $150 if you need the above for just 2 bridesmaids.  (One of my bridesmaids is hoping to keep her bouquet!)

PM me if you're interested.  (I'm in Vancouver.)

Hi everyone,

I just wanna say that I had a very difficult time finding a light suit in tan-kaki for my fiancé. I talked with a lot of salepersons here in Canada and they told me that tan suits were not very popular here on the Canadian West Coast.    After months of research, I finally hit the states.  I have never been to the Seattle Outlets (Tulalip) before but there is so much choices at Hugo Boss for my fiancé. We found him a suit in the exact color I wanted.  So I just wanted to let you know if you are in the same situation...I prefer to buy in Canada but this time, we did an awesome shopping trip!

Depending on how much time you have, you may want to consider Studio Suits, they come from India and take just over a month on average. It costs $99 for linen suits and the worked out really great for us and a lot of other brides. There is a pretty comprehensive forum discussion about them. I agree with LilyRose, and always try to buy Canadian, but, man, weddings are expensive!!

These are the guys in their suits
