Well, I'm finally ready to post my boarding pass STDs. I went back and forth about whether I should even create a boarding pass STD since it seems like almost every bride on this forum did/will/in process of creating these kinds of STDs.

I decided to create my own STDs because: 1) It seemed cheaper! 2) I'm a control freak 3) My family and friends have not seen a boarding pass STD.

This was fairly easy, but time consuming. When I first starting searching for a STD idea, I thought this was the hardest thing ever! The first step is to find the kind of template you like. I searched FOREVER for a template!

I would really like to thank MarieSam and Christy for their templates, welcome letter, etc. I basically copied their look but tried to make it my own.

I have not mailed these out yet, but I only spent about $186 on supplies and materials. I'm sure the postage is going to up the price a little. I know some brides provided a how-to and materials needed, but I will post that info again in case someone missed it.

There are also templates included at the bottom too!

Materials:

110lb white cardstock (Walmart)

Multi-color pack of cardstock (A.C. Moore)

Beach themed paper (Office Depot)

Ribbon (A. C. Moore)

5 in 1 paper trimmer (Staples, I think)

Scissors

Hole punch

Envelopes (Jam Paper.com)

How To:

Create your boarding pass using a template below or one of your choosing. I found it easier to just use another bride's template and put in my own info.

Choose fonts from a free font website. I found mine using google search, MarieSam's post and Christy's post about her STDs.

After you create the look you want, it's time to print.

Make sure you have plenty of ink for your printer. I ran out and was upset because I was almost done!

Print the boarding pass on the white cardstock and your pass holder on the colored cardstock.

Use the trimmer to cut the passes to your liking.

I like using the 5 in 1 trimmer. I has three types of cutting styles and a corner punch as well. It's a little more expensive than the other trimmers, but well worth it!

I found out it was easier to print all at once, cut all the passes all at once an then the pass holders all at once. If I did it one at a time, it seemed like it was taking FOREVER! I've posted some pics below.

Let me know what you guys think.

This forum is the best!! Without it, I would not have even thought of making these cute STDs. I'm becoming a DIY QUEEN!

Oh, if you don't want to print on your home computer, make sure you save the file in PDF format.

Okay, apparently my files are exceeding the limit!

I don't know how to make it smaller!

If anyone wants to see my STDs or would like a copy of the templates, just PM me.

Sorry!
