Thank you :)  They actually traveled great since they came in a very padded box.  We put them in our carry-on luggage because we didn't want anything to happen to them.  We didn't give them to the coordinator ahead of time though because we didn't want anything to happen to them (they were a generous gift from my bridesmaids) so we just had my sister in-law take them to the reception with her.  I heard that if you break or chip one you could just send it to Swarovsky and they will replace it.

Hi Vgirl17,

I'm getting married @ MP as well and I have to say.... Awesome review!! Reading great reviews like yours convinces me that I made a great choice. I wanted to know if you had anymore photos of the Caribbean Terrace? I'm torn between the Tucan Terrace and the Caribbean Terrace! Tucan Terrace is a great location as well as the Caribbean Terrace. I like the fact that the Tucan Terrace is ocean front & of course outdoors. The Caribbean Terrace from what I can see has a bar, which is a plus and it's outdoors and ocean front as well. I'd like to hear your opinion on both. Although I know which one you liked best. Help a confused bride huh02.gif

I LOVE everything about your wedding! The lounge idea is great and has such a fun look to it, and of course the location for the reception is exactly what I am looking for. We are still trying to set a date (probably Nov 2011) and pick a resort (which I lean closer to MP every posting).

As far as the "no outside vendors" rule, how did you get around that? Did Zuniga (Deco Cancun), photographers, and flowers for your BM not apply?

We are thinking we would have no more than 50 people attend, but of course don't know where they'd plan to stay yet. Were there extra fees for having the private reception/Terrace all to yourselves? (I'm sure you answered this, but I have forgotten after reading everything! Haha)

Congrats and thanks for posting!

Hi Veronica,

Thank you for your detailed blog and post. You looked amazing and so was your wedding!!! Congrats!

I am getting married at the Moon Palace in July 2011. I am very excited but nervous. I saw that you used an outside vendor for your photography, why did you choose to go with that option?

krsmith,

Veronica isn't on the site often.  However; in talking with her a ways back 09' Zuniga/Deco cancun is part of the MP vendors...so there was no problem.  Veronica is very crafty and made her own BM flowers but I don't recall if she just had the flowers delivered to her room or what.

Please help...

Nervous 2011 Moon Palace Bride...

We are booked paid and signed contract in place.  Communication with Miami office is slim to none.  Getting no answers and time is flying by. Wedding is AUG 20, 2011.  What needs planned out now and what gets planned out once we are there.  We chose the complimentary package due to the other choices having alot of things we did not want it them. What can we bring as far as decor...  Wanting to know whats included in the free private functions that we have do to room amounts?  It is a member wedding so a photography package is included already.  Tons of brides w outside photographers...is MP pictures that bad?  What is the difference between the cocktail hour and the dinner?  I have read several posts that said their cocktail hour had food.

anything addtional would be a huge help!   Thanks

Seasidebride, First take a deep breath and breathe...it will be ok, even with the deplorable communication with the WCs. They don't give priority to weddings until they are 3 months away. If, like most brides, you'd prefer to have details mapped out before the last minute, I'd start talking to Zuniga or other approved vendors. They are excellent in communicating and you can satisfy the need to actually see progress. I would also create an outliner single document with EVERYTHING in it, so one giant email will be enough as opposed to several little emails. You can bring just about anything for decor, just ask ahead of time. Ithinkanothef MP bride had trouble agreeing to a cake stand, but my WC said it's ok, so just be firm with what your requests are. As far as the photographer goes, David Pena seems to be the only one worth mentioning and he only does large packages....something to consider. I don't know about everyone else, but it seems MPs prices for photography are just a bit less, so I think most brides just pay a bit more to chose their own photographer. Cocktail hours do have food, they serve as a break between the ceremony and dinner reception to provide time for photos and to mingle amongst guests. I wasn't going to do one, but we qualified for the free event, so why not? If you have any questions, just PM me. I totally know how you feel, but everything will be ok. Just breathe ;)

so glad I found this post!! Those are the exact colors I am wanting and such great ideas and beautiful pictures!  I'm wanting to know more about the crinoline in the dress! I was wanting to add something pink to my dress and this was such an awesome and pretty idea!!! Can anyone provide instructions on how to sew it in? Or should I leave that up to a seamstress?  Thanks so much for posting all the details!  I'll be getting married at Moon Palace in September and was wondering how I would be able to make a complimentary wedding have the look I want, I'll definitely be bringing some pink sashes for the chairs and tables now!   Also, maybe some advice on how to travel with my wedding dress?? It's very bulky and fluffy, (think cinderella full ballgown) How should I get it on the plane?? We're flying with Continental Airlines.  thanks a bunch for any help you guys can be!
