Alternative to bridesmaids bouquets...

I think parasols whould be a good alternative too. They look great in pictures and they will probably have fun playing with them later.

Another thing you can do to save costs is have your bouqets do double duty. I'm thinking of doing that myself. After the ceremony I will have someone put them into vases and they will be part of the center pieces (floral centerpeices are like $60 at my venue). So you still have to buy the bouqets but at least you will save a bit on the center pieces.

I like the idea of reusing the bridal bouquets.  I am planning on having approximately 100 guests and 8 bridesmaids.  So, reusing their bouquets to double as the centerpieces is a GREAT idea, especially since the resort is charging $75/centerpiece and $75/bouquet.  That means that I would be paying half of their quote if I could just get them to transfer the flowers from the bouquet binding into the glass cylinders.

Thanks.  I will check them out too.  I've been searching ways to lower the costs of the flowers.  I also looked into a florist near the resort where we're getting married.  I'm just waiting on their response now.

I like the pinwheel and parasol idea. I am more inclined to the parasols though. I was originally going to get my bouquet in clay and give my MOH my free bouquet since it was her. Now it looks like I will definitely have 1 maybe 2 bridesmaid as well so I think I may do parasols since I was going to do that for my flower girl to eliminate the costs of flowers.
