Married in a Catholic Church in Punta Cana

Hello I wanted to kow if anyone has been married in a Catholic Church in Punta Cana and what the documentation requirements were? I know that a certificate of single status is needed however what if you were already married civilly in the states? Do you still need this certificate. Please help.
