dreams resort and spa wedding packages

Recommended Posts

I am planning my wedding for June of 2011 at the Dreams resort, and I asked the coordinator about what happens if we have more than 20 people, and I didn't understand her response. I saw that many of you have done the complimentary package, which I was not sure what that included. Can anyone help figure out the best and cheapest package for about 35 guests?

Thanks

Hi purpleljh

I'm getting married at Dreams Punta Cana and have 30 guests attending my wedding. I chose the Dreams Ultimate Package which includes cocktail hour and reception for 20 guests. (Please note, the 20 guests should include bride and groom meaning that it's really a package for 18 people, which I thought was weird but found out from my WC after double checking) That being said, we have to pay extra for 12 of our guests. Cost is different depending on which package you chose but I believe mine is something like $20 pp for cocktail hour and $40 pp for reception (with children costing half)

Below your menu package should have the additional cost per person should you go over the package limit.

Hope this helps!

Not sure which dreams you are looking at but a lot of brides at Dreams La Romana got the free package and then rented out the Sea Side Grill restaurant for $1000 for the reception (including food and drinks). It was a lot cheap to do this option and just add on the extras that you want.

Hello- I also chose the comp. package. im getting married at Dreams palm beach. 20 guests are included in that package, and I will pay extra for additional's, if you want cocktail hour (they have different cocktail hour packages) or if you want to do a higher priced package they will include more people and will have different things included such as the cocktail hr, buffet or sit down dinner but (with limited options)..I say if you plan on having less than 30, go with the comp. package and add the extras. Im thinking about just making reservations for my guests at one of the restaurants....Im getting married in the afternoon so after the ceremony, cocktail hr etc., then dinner at a restaurant. Im not going to go crazy over it, Im thinking more about the Vacation! :) The resort should have a list of the "extras" or some sort of price list.

Good Luck and Happy Planning.
