Dreams Cabo Wedding Review - May 2010

I have not worked with Guillermo but I would try not to worry too much.  I've heard nothing but wonderful things about Dreams and their wedding staff - and I'm positive they won't let your special day be a disaster.  I'm working with Magda for our November wedding and although it does take her some time to reply (especially as of late with the staff changes) she does respond and answer all of the questions I have.  If you are unsettled and don't feel completely confident I might suggest reaching out to Tammy who runs this forum.  She can't step in to help as she doesn't work for Dreams but she may have a contact of someone in the department or be able to suggest an external wedding coordinator.  Another thought - Do you have a photographer or any other external vendors you're working with for the wedding?  Having someone in Cabo that may know Guillermo or have an "in" at Dreams might help too.  Perhaps they could stop by next time they're around or call on your behalf??

 

Either way, your day will be FABULOUS and you and your fiance will love every minute of it.  Keep us posted and let us know how it goes.  Good luck!

I just sent Guillermo a list of my questions as well, he responded to a couple, but the rest of his responses were, "that will be pretty, I will add that to your timeline...etc". I was not looking to ADD anything, just simply get answers to my questions so I knew how to move forward. I have yet to contact a manager at the resort, but think that I will need to soon. I am not getting married until Nov 25, but I was hoping to get the majority of this stuff done sooner rather than later. I have heard only good things about Dreams and Yarai (my orginal WC was AMAZING) so I hope that this is just a small issue in the big scheme of things...fingers crossed! I was given [email protected]  as a contact for the Resort Manager. PLEASE keep me posted on what you find. Thanks and good luck!

Okay...I am laughing now even though it is not funny. I get the "that will pretty, etc..." responses too and then ignores my other questions. I emailed him over a week ago and still have not received a response and he usually is ok at getting back timely even though he doesn't answer anything. I will definitely keep you posted and thanks for the email address. Keep me posted as well and I will for sure let you know how it turns out. Hopefully it will all work out.

We're getting married on November 25th too!!  I'm excited to see someone else that will be there at the same time.  Do you guys have a lot of guests coming?  I'd love to hear about your plans/decor ideas for the wedding, etc.

We had our wedding on the 7th and it was WONDERFUL!!  You have nothing to worry about.  Guillermo was great once we got there.   He is the sweetest person, always smiling and he is very busy with weddings, so I guess I can understand why he would not get back timely.  You can change or add anything when you meet with him so if there is something he hasn't got back to you about, it can be done there.   Dreams Resort was amazing too.  We had such a great time and all our guests loved it!  I wish I was still there.   Best of luck to you and don't worry!  :)
