Help with Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe Wedding

Hi there!

 

We are thinking of getting married at the Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe in Punta Cana. Has anyone ever been there? What is the food like? Anyone know what the wedding packages are? Are we allowed to have our own photographer?

Hi there tobelivy!

 

We were originally thinking of this resort, but we couldnt find awhole lot about it. the reviews on other sires were not consistant, and there wasn't a lot of info here.

 

We contacted the resort and found out you have to use their photographer, which we didn't real care for, tropical sun or something.. they didn't get great reviews on this site.

 

Its too bad cause it looked like a great resort!!

When are you getting married?  Did you pick a place yet?

 

I'm thinking of getting married at Barcelo.  I've seen mixed reviews about the place but the one thing that is winning me over right now is that the wedding coordinator is extremely responsive to me and my extensive questioning.  No other WC has been as attentive.  Her name is Marlene and her email address is [email protected].  We're taking a short trip there in October and I'm hoping I like everything else b/c so far I love Marlene!

I'm planning my wedding at BBPD on October 15th and the thread above has helped alot. The other one is a thread that I started. TRivera did a site visit not too long ago and she has posted some pictures and gave a very detailed site review. I know if you PM her she will send you the pictures that she took while out there. She has sent me a bunch of info. Have you started the process or are youshoping around right now?

I actually have a date reserved at the Majestic Colonial, but when we went to put deposits down this week, we found out they are renovating half of their rooms while we are supposed to be there.  I'm trying to determine what I want to do now.  I don't want people's good times to be ruined due to construction.  My travel agent suggest this resort, but I'm having a hard time finding any info or even photos of weddings that have happened there. 

 

Have you seen any photos or reviews from past brides?
