So sorry to hear, but if you look on the bright side, you can Relax in DR and not have to worry about the wedding, you won't have to travel with a bunch of stuff, and you can be more hands on with your planning which is something I know all of us brides want!

that's too bad....but like you said you can still honeymoon there and a TTD session would make it worth it too! those photos are always so amazing and will make a beautiful keepsake.

I think the Hollywood glam idea sounds like fun and I'm sure the wedding will be beautiful either way. We're dealing with the same issue now. AFTER we sent the deposit and settle on the place and date, he wakes me up at 3 am!!! to discuss that maybe we should do the whole thing differently - similar reason too - we're paying for both our parents and my sisters.
