Ideas for a Guestbook

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone! I was wondering what are your ideas for a wedding guestbook. I did not want to go with a traditional guestbook or a larged framed photograph. I heard that some people used bird cages. Any ideas?

I am going to use a coffe table book, It is a book filled with photographs of our wedding location, Key West. So all of our guest can sign a page or leave a note to us if they desire. :). I got a couple funky pens for people to sign, a large pink Feathery Flamingo and a Blue Marlin Sail Fish, I love them, they fit our personalities :). I am so girly and my honey-to be loves to fish. I love the idea of keeping it on my coffee table and reading through it on occasion :).

I was just at a wedding recently that had fortune cookies made out of paper, the paper was awesome. They used there wedding colors and had the paper reflect those colors with different shades, patterns, etc. They had little strips of paper that you could write a wedding wish on. Then you fold the paper and push it into the fortune cookie and placed them into a large Glass Container. The bride and groom read all of them the next morning at brunch. It was a really cute!

I saw something yesterday that said FujiFilm makes an instant photo camera - like the Polaroid idea - i haven't looked into it further, but it might be something to research if you like the Polaroid idea. I think it's called the Fujifilm instax and the camera itself is under $100.

Thanks for the great ideas everyone! I was thinking making tags out of cardstock and having guests write their wedding wishes on it and put them on a glass container with sand at the bottom.

Polaroids are a great idea too! I have a polaroid camera but I have no clue where to get the polaroid film.

I was browsing Etsy earlier and found this fun idea for a Non-Traditional Guest book, although I am not sure how well it would travel, I just love the idea of it :)...

The seller makes surf boards that are 47" high x 15 1/4" wide. Then you could use different color paint pens for your guest to sign.
