Is it normal?

Is it normal to not be giddy and excited the first time you try on dresses? I went yesterday with my bridesmaids and really felt more uncomfortable than anything.

I suppose it was the idea of everyone fawning all over me, standing on a pedestal in the middle of a room with people judging me? I'm not sure. However, I found a dress. It's just gorgeous and I love everything about it, but I feel like I'm not as excited as I should be about the experience. Just wondering if anyone else felt this way.

I felt the same way, I hate trying on things in front of people. What really matters is how you feel in the dress & how you think it looks. I think it looks great on you! Congrats!

i prolly will feel the same way as i don't like to try things on in front of people at all either.

 

just know that you look absolutely beautimous in your dress. i simply [LOVE] your veil and how it perfectly matches your dress and its details.

I felt the same way, I only had one day with my MOH in from out of town (she flew 3 hours) and my mom in from out of town. So every dress I tried on that wasn't the one was disappointing, what if we didn't find it while they were here? Plus the first shop, I hated the person helping me. I said I wanted lace, tried 3 laces ones and we all decided lace wasn't my style. Told her this, she brought more lace dresses, WTF? In the end we found one at another story, with amazing help! and I was thrilled! But overall I did not love the experience. I only loved the minute I put on the dress I ended up getting. I've had a few friends who had the same experience.
