Barcelo Palace and Craig Wolstrom Photographer

Magical...that is how guests described our daughter's wedding at the Barcelo Palace, Riviera Maya, Mexico. The destination wedding far exceeded our expectations. The Barcelo Palace is beautiful, the food is gourmet (all inclusive) and the staff (including the amazing wedding coordinator Claudia) is phenomenal.

Craig Wolstrom is the most amazing photographer. Visit his website to see for yourself! You never know he is there and all the while, he is taking amazing photos! He flew to Colorado to take beautiful engagement photos and then to the Riviera Maya for the rehearsal and wedding and reception. Our daughter found local hair and make up artists to come to the hotel and hired the band Kikos and Carlos. The band was another great choice. Along with the handpainted maracas the guests and the band, the reception was fun for everyone from the children to the young professionals, to the parents! Our daughter sent photos of the cakes she wanted and the staff at the Barcelo produced perfect replicas. The only negative I can say is the beds at the Barcelo were not equal to the five star ratings I would give to every other aspect of the stay at the Barcelo. In addition, this is the first wedding I've attended in years where there was no "drama" because everyone was relaxed from having time to get to know each other in this beautiful setting. Friends of our daughters kicked off the week by hosting "Wedding Olympics" on the beach. Everyone had to choose a country to represent and the costumes made the wedding Olympics all the more fun!
