My name's Trista and it's been just over a week I've been engaged. Since my fiance (so much fun to use the word!) and I have been dating for over 8 years I've kind of had some ideas for a while now.

 

We are thinking the date will be May 7 / 2011, but nothing is even close to set in stone yet.

 

Location-wise, we visited Riveria Maya last year and adored it so that's what we're leaning towards. Having some trouble with resorts though because of "must haves" (including: bringing in our own vendors for photography, handicap accessible for my grandfather, and we really want to have a reception afterwards). Right now Dreams Tulum is at the top of our list, the only downfall is how far it is from the airport and from Playa Del Carmen.

 

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

haha you are too cute! I cringed at the word "fiance". Good Luck with the resort. That's probably the most difficult decision. Dreams Tulum was one of our top choices and actually we did eliminate it because it was so far. Heard it's worth it though.... Happy Planning and congrats on the engagement!

Congrats! There is a ton of info on Dreams on these boards. I am sure you can find anything you are looking for. I am getting married at Aventura Cove and Spa in Rivieria Maya. They don't allow outside photographers, but most people bring them anyways =p Thats what I am doing.
