These are absolutely adorable!!!
 

Valeria told me I could rent a tray for $50.00 and pay for the set-up of the cards too. I said no thank you, I will bring a tray down and will put the sand in it myself and just deliver it to them set up I think. I'm not paying $50 to rent a tray. (So many little costs, ugh!)

did past EDR brides do place cards? if so, did EDR do a set up for you, with a tray and sand or anything? I'm a little worried about them blowing away, but I don't want to haul a tray down too. Appreciate any input!

We brought our own tray, and they charged us a flat fee for everything we needed set up at the reception. I think we only had place cards at front door, table numbers, menus and cake topper. Good thing about a tray is it packs flat... just make sure you get it back! My grandfather made our tray and it was not among the things that the WCs gave back to us the morning after our wedding.

Hi Chiquita, I totally think you can book a room for the DJ, and then have a single guest pay their half of the double rate for a room to themselves. at the end of the day, EDR doesn't care who is IN the rooms, only that the DJ (or other vendor) is a guest at the resort for the 3 day minimum. so you'd list the DJ on your rooming list...

I think I'm just going to wing it - we can either tuck the place cards into the napkins on the tables, and do a list of the table assignments, or I'll hope they'll cough up a tray for less than $50...because no way I'm paying that much for a dumb tray.

ok, so I asked him, and he ended getting the "iTunes DJ" app. His comment was that it probably has more features than what we need, but it'll be great. He said it counts beats per minute in the songs, and will let him set up transitions based on tempos and such. After that, I tuned out....sorry!!

hehe don't get me wrong, I love that he finally has some responsibility and pressure related to the wedding. and I love that he's taking it so seriously, and wants to make sure all of our guests have fun. but if I had gone on and on about wedding colors, cake choices, dresses, etc. he would have had the same reaction!! lol

Has anybody asked about this yet?  Just wondering.  Originally I wanted DJ Doremixx, but he raised his prices and EDR raised their outside vendor fee making them more expensive.  But, one of my best friends and her husband would never be able to afford coming- they already work 2 jobs each and can barely pay their bills... but if I give them that room then maybe they could swing it.
