Good to know! I asked my TA and she thought the water tasted a little salty when she was there last but not anything like the ocean. She did recommend bringing a good conditioner though and the hotel provides bottled water by the sink for brushing your teeth.

You can also ask your concierge to give you more water, than beer, in your in-room fridge too. Then you cvan just throw it in your bag and take it with you. We were there last fall and that is pretty much the only water we drank.

I have a friend who just went and said the hotel is going green and changed the water to salt water - which is horrible on skin and hair! That's why you rinse off after getting out of the ocean. Does anyone know anything about this that has recently been there?

Thanks!
Your friend is right...unfortunately. I was there 2 weeks ago for my site visit, they are using ocean water and purifying it through reverse osmosis. It's still very salty, which you can tell when you are brushing your teeth (and it certainly shows if you don't use a good deep conditioner!).

You can also use your mugs. We are taking ours down for all of our guests when we leave in two weeks!! cheer2.gif

Alaplaya--I'm looking forward to your review when you get back!! We are getting married on July 16th and also staying in an invidual casita. Is there a better section to ask for? I'm not really happy about this salty water!

Hey Ladies! The water wasn't "salt water" like you think of ocean water but it did taste salty and was pretty disgusting! And yes, I forgot to say this in my review but there is no conditioner on the entire resort so bring LOTS! My sister ran out of conditioner the second day there and she has really thick hair and it was pretty bad! Also, you can drink the water in the restaurants because it is purified just dont drink the water in the room or use it to brush your teeth! We brought mugs and everyone used them! They dont care about that!
