here you go:

I would have a pair of flats or wedges as a back up plan. Then you can try walking on the sand in the heels and in your alternate shoe.

We had the wooden runner and also stood on it throughout the ceremony. I;m glad we did it for aesthetic reasons and for assistance walking down the isle. My husband is a foot taller than me so I knew I was wearing heels for the reception. Since me dress was long, I wasnt sure what to do about getting it hemmed, so I bought a cheap pair of white wedges to wear during the ceremony. I practiced a bit on the sand during the rehearsal, which I highly suggest doing. I did almost wipe out on the day of the wedding though because my dress stuck to my leg when i stepped on to the wooden isle. Thank goodness my dad had a firm grasp on me!

The wooden runner fit into our budget without having to skimp on anything else we wanted, so we went ahead and spent the $200. I would reserve it if I were you, and if you get closer to the date and you would rather spend the money on something else, you can always get it taken off your order.

I wore a 3 inch wedge and I was amazed at how hard it was to walk in the sand. Forget the idea of heels, I think sandals is the only practical option or maybe flats. Todd wore converse chucks and barely had any sand in them after the ceremony. They said that they packed the sand but by the time I got to it you couldn't tell. We had a plain white runner and it was a waste of money. The wind blew it to the side and when it was flat it didn't help at all. Also I was so nervous about twisting something my entire walk down the aisle I was looking down. I regret that since I do t have any good photos of me looking up while walking down the aisle with my dad. I think for that reason having the wooden runner would have been worth it. Another thing w about walkin on the beach is that it's not a flat surface, so my dress that wa hemmed to just dust the ground still got walked on when I would shift and slide down in the sand. That wasn't so much a problem for the ceremony so much as our pictures on the beach before hand. For reference the words out of my mouth to Todd when we made it to the sidewalk adter our recessional was "who came up with this getting married on the beach idea?"... I was saying it to be funny because of how hard it was to walk and how for two years all I said was that I wanted a wedding on the beach.

I spoke to my WC today, and now I have one more questionconfused.gif  My photographer told me that he is going to be with his assistant during our wedding day. I paid $800 outside vendor's fee, and I am planing to get chairs and meals for both of them during our wedding dinner. So I asked WC if I need to get a guest pass for the photographer's assistant. She said that the assistant is not a guest, and she will find out how much they will charge me for letting him in...eek.gif I heard that DJ Doremixx usually comes with his assistant (MC). Did you girls pay anything in addition to outside vendor fee???
