When we went, your correct they don't go all the way to the beach because it's too shallow of water. And you have to jump out of the boat. Maybe if you are in your dress one of the guys will help/carry you to dry land, however this wasn't the case for us since we just went there there to just relax and have some fun.

It would be an amazing location for photos, there are rocks, the beautiful beach and of course the arch. I think for a TTD session it would be perfect. There is a little spot, where if you needed to you can have someone stand guard so you can change into your dress there (its sorta like a cave, but not really) But that is an option for you as well.

I just got back from Cabo yesterday and we totally had it planned to go to Lovers Beach to do a TTD session the day after the wedding. Since it is almost impossibe to get on at the Riu Palace without getting your dress wet, we decided to to a cab to the marina and then take a water taxi from there. You wont get wet by doing it this way!

But...mother Nature was not on our side. The waves were the highest in like 5 years the day we went, and they woudn't let us get off the boat. No taxis were dropping people off that morning at lovers beach. It was too dangerous. I was very sad! I think I was looking forward to the TTD photos almost as much as my wedding day.

So we took some shots from the water taxi and then walked into town and took some really fun shots downtown Cabo! Even got one with a baby lion:) I can't wait to see how they turn out!

I would definitely recommend having your TTD photos done at Lover's Beach. My husband and I stayed at the Riu Palace as well. It does not cost much to get over to Lover's Beach and it only takes approx. 10 minutes. We wanted to have our TTD done at sunset so we worked out a deal with our water taxi guy as they do not go over there after 5pm (sunset in November was around that time). Here's a link to our TTD photos if you would like to see.
